Develop, test, and review software.
Communicates occasionally with customers to collaborate on project and product requirements.
Works along with the Quality Assurance Department in generating test procedures.
Interfaces with the technical writing staff to help produce manuals explaining the use of the created product.

Summary
Without appreciable direction, the Senior Hardware Engineer works on or contributes to the concept, design, testing or documentation of new or existing Hardware. Has the ability to problem solve with a thorough understanding of broad range hardware products and related market issues. Can effectively contribute to or review the planning and design or products and other advanced hardware development activities. Has the capability to plan, coordinate and carry out complex projects, starting with only vague or ambiguous statements of goals. Ability to work with Software Engineering and Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and design complex hardware, often involving novel techniques.
Plan and carry out the testing of complex hardware, often where special tool building or use of advanced techniques is required.
Investigate, plan, and design complex hardware projects using advanced techniques and achieving high efficiency and reliability.
Plan and take responsibility for complex hardware projects, often leading the technical work of others.
Advise in the planning, design and implementation of large or complex systems, especially ones with multi-disciplinary basis.
Participate in the planning of product strategy for the department.
Communicate progress and problems to management, estimating work schedules and anticipating and avoiding problems.
Stay current with technology in area of expertise and independently suggest or develop new techniques and procedures to improve the work or products in a department.
Capable of dealing with marketing and customers to determine solutions to a customers systems needs.
Detailed experience with Intel and/or Triscend microprocessors.
Hardware communication knowledge (Ethernet, Serial and telephony).>
Ability to take designs and work with internal PCB layout designer.
Experience in performing static/impulse testing.
Experience in obtaining FCC/CE certification.

Assures attainment of programs and production schedules while insuring high quality standards that will make Accu-Time Systems world class for our customers. Leads/manages continuous improvement activities for the production operations.

Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and managing of personnel.

ssures the development and coordination of systems and programs to promote Lean Manufacturing operations in line with manufacturing plans and objectives.

Improve manpower utilization within existing manufacturing facilities and processes.
Continual improvement in product quality.
